Coldfall Wood, East Finchley

This is probably my favorite thing I did today. Coldfall Wood is one of the very few remnants of ancient forest left in London and it's hidden just down the street! It's amazing to be able to walk to such a wonderful and natural place. There are usually only about two other people there anytime I go and that's perfect. It's great to have a place to go and be so close to nature and so quiet in such a huge and crowded city. It is just big enough to almost get lost in and has little surprised around every corner... and some through a hole in the fence...
