New Job in the Big City

Yesterday was my first day at my new job. I'm the director of a new men's spa in London. The commute is murder, so we'll be moving closer to the city as soon as possible. I'll be spending about 1 1/2 hrs on the train and tube each way.
The group I'm working with is wonderful. I don't think I could ask for nicer people.
If you come and help us pack and move, we'll feed you! ;-)
Feel free to leave comments here so I can see who's checking in! I'll be posting more photos in a couple of days, so keep in touch.
Thanks for checking in,
Kent

Krispy Kreme and Harrods

I was walking around before my second interview in London on Friday and decided to go into Harrods and look around. I found the Diana tribute with her engagement ring and the last glass she drank out of. I marveled at the Egyptian Escalators and the Luxury rooms. When I was about to leave, I saw 4 English girls with Krispy Kreme hats on. I did the snoopy dance and asked them where they got them. They said they found them in the food hall and that the hats made them feel “very American”. I only knocked over a few people in hot pursuit of the “Hot Doughnut” sign on the way there. Through the mist rose the awe inspiring sign! I explained to the Indian man with the English accent that I was from the land of Krispy Kreme and that it truly warmed my heart to see such fine culinary excellence in my new home.

Isn’t the world a great place? Krispy Kreme in Harrods, how civilized!

Simon was very pleased with the hat and ½ dozen assorted that I brought him from my journey to the city.

Wales trip

This is of our recent trip to Wales. It was amazing. These pics were from a small lake in a park above one of the many former coal mining towns. The part that you can't see is the Hot Dog stand that we raided... Can't beat fine dining and a great view!
The lake reminded me of the opening credits to the Andy Griffith Show. (Now try and get the tune out of your head)

Wedding pics

Here are a couple of pics of our wedding. Simon's sister Shelly and her son Jake were there and our new friend Jo.
The staff at the Ipswich Registry office was incredible. They bent over backwards to make it a very special day for us.
