Today in Camden Town and Camden Market

Hello all,
As you can see... I am getting caught up with my postings!
I went exploring in Camden Town and Camden Market today. It is a wonderful part of London and hasn't been spoiled for and by the tourists yet. It has a great grunge appeal. It is Amy Winehouse's home after all... It is also one of the only places to get great South American Street food. Several of the international food stalls are wonderful, and then there is the typical food court crap that you find everywhere. Lots of hidden treasures around every corner. I especially liked the bubble that was following me around. Can you see it in the pictures?
Thanks again for checking in and feel free to leave a little note if you are so moved. Have a great day!

The Kids Day Out

I think I counted 25 of them!!! Can you imagine?
I took this one of the Grand Union Canal in London.

Green

My favorite garden was my Green and White one in Decatur. I think it makes for a very simple and beautiful look. On a full moon, the lighter colors glow. Here are some of the green and white things in my garden in London.

Grand Union Canal

As you can tell, one of my favorite things to do in London is explore the canal system. It is one of the oldest in the world and goes all over the country from London to Birmingham. Many people actually still live on the canal boats and it sounds very appealing to me. It is a part of London that most people don't see. It cuts through some of the most expensive neighborhoods as well as some of the most deprived. It is a very unique and beautiful world. These pictures are from the Grand Union Canal in London.

Our Day Out May 2008

Hello All!

Here are some pictures of our day of exploring London on Memorial Day Weekend.
We went to the Tate Modern Museum along with about a zillion others... After about 5 minutes of that, we skipped on down to Southwark Cathedral.
On the graffiti pic of the Tate Modern with the Chief, look to the right of the artwork at the people to get an idea of how huge it is.

Hope you enjoy.

Today in My Garden May 31, 2008

Here are some photos of my little garden. It has been raining lots over the past few days. Typical London stuff...
Everything is coming up nicely and looks very green. I just have to keep ahead of the snails and that could be a full time job.
