Christmas in London

Hello All,
Sorry it's been so long. I just got some great pictures back and decided to post them for you all. It has been wonderful seeing all of the changes in London from Fall to Winter. The trees have been amazing and the christmas lights are all over the city. The windows are from Selfidges and they are amazing. The ones of the parks are either from a small park a few blocks away or some of the Royal ones in town.
Hope you enjoy and please leave me a note if you check in.
Thanks again,
Kent

Hello All,
The schedule is getting better and better with the addition to our front desk staff. Simon and I finally have some time to get out more and explore London. We went to Hampton Court Palace and spent the better part of a day going through the house and grounds. It's mind bending to imagine such a place for one family.
Here are some pics if you want to take a look:

Just one of the places to visit when you come over!
Keep in touch and leave a message if you visit!
Love ya all,
Kent

Checking in

Too long since the last post. I've been working way too many hours getting the spa up and opened. We are doing great and things are moving right along. I'm loving London. The city has hidden treasures around every corner. Simon and I went to the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum yesterday and had a great time. The Raphael Cartoons were amazing. You could explore this city every day for a year and not see half of it.
Thanks for checking in and I'll be posting more pics soon.
Feel free to leave comments so I can see who's checking in!
Have a wonderful day,
Kent

East Anglia

Here are some pics from around East Anglia. It reminds me so much of the South Carolina coast with some hills added for affect. Spring here has been breathtaking. The views on the commute into London are a wonderful way to start the day.

Moving

I've been commuting to London from Ipswich for a month now. Simon found us a wonderful flat just north of London in East Finchley. We will be moving at the end of the month. It will cut an hour off of my commute each way. I can't wait to get settled in.
London is wonderful. The mix of people of amazing. I'm very lucky to be working with such a greart group of people.
Let me know when you want to come for a visit!

New Job in the Big City

Yesterday was my first day at my new job. I'm the director of a new men's spa in London. The commute is murder, so we'll be moving closer to the city as soon as possible. I'll be spending about 1 1/2 hrs on the train and tube each way.
The group I'm working with is wonderful. I don't think I could ask for nicer people.
If you come and help us pack and move, we'll feed you! ;-)
Feel free to leave comments here so I can see who's checking in! I'll be posting more photos in a couple of days, so keep in touch.
Thanks for checking in,
Kent

Krispy Kreme and Harrods

I was walking around before my second interview in London on Friday and decided to go into Harrods and look around. I found the Diana tribute with her engagement ring and the last glass she drank out of. I marveled at the Egyptian Escalators and the Luxury rooms. When I was about to leave, I saw 4 English girls with Krispy Kreme hats on. I did the snoopy dance and asked them where they got them. They said they found them in the food hall and that the hats made them feel “very American”. I only knocked over a few people in hot pursuit of the “Hot Doughnut” sign on the way there. Through the mist rose the awe inspiring sign! I explained to the Indian man with the English accent that I was from the land of Krispy Kreme and that it truly warmed my heart to see such fine culinary excellence in my new home.

Isn’t the world a great place? Krispy Kreme in Harrods, how civilized!

Simon was very pleased with the hat and ½ dozen assorted that I brought him from my journey to the city.

Wales trip

This is of our recent trip to Wales. It was amazing. These pics were from a small lake in a park above one of the many former coal mining towns. The part that you can't see is the Hot Dog stand that we raided... Can't beat fine dining and a great view!
The lake reminded me of the opening credits to the Andy Griffith Show. (Now try and get the tune out of your head)

Wedding pics

Here are a couple of pics of our wedding. Simon's sister Shelly and her son Jake were there and our new friend Jo.
The staff at the Ipswich Registry office was incredible. They bent over backwards to make it a very special day for us.
